Consultation has concluded

Otago Regional Council (ORC) is currently developing a new Land and Water Regional Plan (LWRP) for Otago. The new plan will enable ORC to give effect to the new National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management 2020. As a first step in developing the new plan, we are reviewing the existing Regional Plan: Water for Otago (Water Plan) so that the provisions that are still relevant and effective can be carried over to the new LWRP.

  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

We’d like to hear from you about the existing Water Plan’s strengths and weaknesses, how easy it is to use, and what it is missing.

Please note: this survey is only for the purposes of reviewing the relevance and effectiveness of the current Water Plan – it is not the only opportunity for engagement with community and industry on the proposed LWRP. It is envisaged that a more extensive and in-depth consultation process will be undertaken for the LWRP development.

While this survey has been targeted at key stakeholder groups who are likely users of the Water Plan, the link is available to the general public and any responses are welcome.
